In the first part of the recital you can experience Leoš Janáček’s ’In the Mists’, which displays his incredibly colouristic, moody, and mature compositional style.

It will be followed by the fantastic Piano Sonata No 1 by Alexander Scriabin. ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, written in 1874 by Modest Mussorgsky, is a unique piano suite in ten movements, punctuated by a recurring and varied Promenade theme.

It has become a showpiece for virtuoso pianists, and is widely known through Maurice Ravel 1922 adaptation for orchestra, which is the version most recorded and performed.

Don’t miss this performance by Harit Chunhanantasap - a young and rising Thai pianist with breathtaking technique and a musical maturity beyond his years.
